Della Cooke

Della Cooke was born on the 25th of March, 1898, in the Harlem district of New York (NY). She was the Eldest of a brother and two other sisters.

She began her life as a singer in the early 1910s after she and her family took a vacation in New Orleans where she found out about the beginnings of Jazz. Come the 1920s she was singing at speakeasies all across New York, looking to broaden her horizons elsewhere.

Now, she received word from an old friend she worked with in the 30s who is now a servant in a manor, and she says there’s a new gig available in the place where she works.
